Something to improve the Chilly Sheets brand did not even cross my mind until today: music. I have seen a few articles of clothing that have waterproof speakers attached to them and I feel that these will be a great addition to Chilly Sheets.
The speakers will be able to hook up to any MP3 device so that people can listen to any kind of music: soothing to hip-hop, whatever helps people sleep. The whole idea behind chilly sheets is to help people sleep easier and for those people who like to fall asleep to that certain playlist every night, speakers will help defiantly help them sleep even better.
Because most people use soothing music if any at all while trying to fall asleep, Chilly Sheets will provide a built in channel to the speaker system that will be attached to the sheets. This playlist will use MP3 tracks as opposed to WAV as they are smaller and more will be able to fit on the small amount of memory that the technology will have. Because there will not be many tracks on the built in playlist, the available MP3 player adaptability will be great for people who wish to add their own music.
In lecture we also talked about graphics and how they are often used but I do not feel that graphics will benefit the Chilly Sheets in any way.
I am sure you will use graphics in some way! Are these just going to be plain white/solid color sheets? Cool idea to bring music into the product. A lot of people are falling asleep now and days with music on in the background.
ReplyDeleteAdding music to your product is a great idea. I know for many, and from personal experience, soft music or jazz can be very relaxing and can also act as a stress reliever. Some friends I know also tell me how they listen to sounds from the ocean or the rain forest etc. to help them fall asleep. Are you just considering sheets for the bed? Another idea would be to consider products that can be worn around the house when it gets cold, especially for Syracuse weather. For example a robe or maybe bed slippers?
